Join Ginny Brace as she shares with us how Waterford Park in downtown Frederick was established and continues to grow.  Learn about native plants, trees and the meadow . 

This event is open to all. 

Please park near 199 Meadowdale Lane near the corner of Meadowdale and Rock Creek Drive, but please take note that this is a residential neighborhood. 

The rain date will be April 12 at 1:00 pm.

City Nature Challenge

Public Welcome Hands-On/How-To Workshop

Participate in Community Science and assist scientists researching climate change, invasive plants, and the health of our habitats. 

Wild Ones will participate in the annual City Nature Challenge using the iNaturalist app to document wild plants and animals in a native plant garden in the heart of the city.

Public Welcome Family-Friendly Free Event Public Garden Tour

The Greater Frederick Maryland Wild Ones is sponsoring a Native Plant Garden Tour on Saturday June 14 from 11am -3pm in Frederick City. 

Come tour gardens - big and small, old and new - that contain native plants, trees, and shrubs. 

Learn what plants grown best in various conditions, which pair well together, and how to get started or continue planting with natives. 

All are welcome! This event is free.
